Founded in Queensland, Aevi Tech has created CertMate from real-world experience in Australia's energy and agricultural sectors. After years of seeing projects slowed by paperwork, delays at property gates, and uncertainty around compliance, the team set out to solve a long-ignored problem: vehicle hygiene and land access shouldn't be barriers to getting work done.
Our flagship product, CertMate, digitises compliance to protect properties, reduce risk, and strengthen relationships between operators and landholders. The mission is straightforward — support the people driving Australia's economy with practical, reliable technology that works where it matters most: on the ground.
CertMate was founded by Carina Steinbakk — a qualified engineer holding a Master of Science (MSc) in Energy and Environmental Engineering. With hands-on experience as a well site representative at Origin Energy and involvement in Queensland's River City Labs startup community, Carina saw firsthand how lost certificates and slow paper-based processes stalled projects and damaged trust between operators and landholders.
