Carina Steinbakk

Founder, Director

Carina founded Aevi Tech in 2021, and brings with her 7 years of experience in the Energy and Resources industry, She packs two MSc's in Engineering and Business Management, and has a personal bone to pick with vehicle biosecurity management.

In 2017, Carina was laying on the floor of a wellsite datavan while working in the upstream CSG industry, writing out 38 new vehicle hygiene certifications for the entire hydraulic fracturing fleet she was the engineer for. This would not be the first, or the last time she would have to write these out, and by mid-2018 Carina decided there had to be a better way.

She went about programming an Excel spreadsheet to include all the vehicle information of the fleet, and automating everything, so at the end of the day, she just had to print and sign. Feeling that she had saved so much time and frustration by utilising this digital tool, she decided to take it one step further. And just like that… CertMate was born.

With Aevi Tech putting paper vehicle hygiene certifications firmly in the rear-view, CertMate is a Digital Vehicle Hygiene Management app that is now aiming to become the go-to solution for industry required to manage vehicle hygiene in Australia. CertMate will do this by unifying the vehicle biosecurity in one streamlined system, helping everyone go green and digital in the vehicle hygiene space.
